Rigid Gift Box Packaging
Minimalism using abstraction. Die cuts are based on the specific foliage of each type of bonsai tree offered from Ki. The skeleton of the package was based on traditional practices of Japanese culture and bonsais. Eliminating elements that do not accentuate or develop the aesthetics of the plant.
Swing Time
Book Cover
A book cover design for Zadie Smith’s Swing Time using patterning inspired by South African textiles. A subtle nod to the story by incorporating typography in the tiles of the pattern, creating a rhythmic form. The composition was set to the dance steps mentioned at the climax of the story.

Italian pasta package focusing on knockdown construction. Using hand-drawn illustrations, layering created visual patterns that implemented the various weight for typography. The use of vibrant hues draws inspiration from Burano, Italy.
